Goodbye

The time… to bid goodbye, left me feeling wif mix emotions. Always attended other farewells… but nvr expected my turn to come so soon!

Ever since i tendered, there are many question marks in my mind. I have no idea if ive made de right decision (to leave here & accept a new envt).. but one thing for sure, there’s no more turning back!

The gals asked what i wanted for farewell… they wanted to get sth tat will make me tink of them.. :) & so, i requested for a card wif their photos & farewell msg! hehe. A priceless gift… =p

Today, i bid goodbye wif a heavy heart. Tearing, but its part & parcel of life i guess.. .. ..

I feel so disconnected from the outside world, cos my desktop is down! Its been a week..& i dun exactly know wads wrong.. bro said probably de cable is spoilt, sigh! So im using his lappie now for a short while =p

2008.. will it be a good year?

I tendered my resignation today. Have accepted a new job offer. My last day at this current co will be next Wednesday :/ The feeling is quite.. sore. I dislike the feeling of “leaving”.. but for a better future.. its time to leave this comfort zone.

Will be starting @ the new plc next Thurs. Fear.. Insecurity… Changes… Worried!

Feelin worn out.. lots of uncertainty on my mind this week.. didnt reali slp well past few days. It took me quite sometime & courage to leave this co, and not look back anymore..

Had dinner wif Chris & HK (aka gossip partners) today. & on de way home, i felt a tinge of sadness & unknowingly teared. They are de ones who made my life here so much happier .. we stood by each other wen problems occur.. we encouraged each other to tk things ez.. our routined pantry & toilet timings.. its gonna be memories.. sweet memories.. =)

They “scolded” me for leaving them.. which made me feel even worse. Then send me this sms:

“we’re happy for u for being so daring to tk up de challenge but we’re sad cos our best khaki is leaving but we cant be selfish so we wish de best for u. dont wori, God will bless u. Just do ur best and u still can complain to us if need be. We believe u can do it cos u are a v gd & knowledgeable workr. U sure can make it, dont worry. We hav confidence in u. U will be successful. God will bless u since he bless u wif a new job. Always rem he has a reason for everythg.”

Its hard to find frens who are true & sincere. Thank you gals, its a special gift from God sth i’ll cherish for life

Retail Therapy

I had a gr8 Friday.. ! Good retail therapy session for me! Keke.. I hope yours was a good one too! =)

I met 3 angels.. which i thought i should comment

(1) Katy @ Pazzion – Bugis
My shoes are majority bought there! The design catches my liking, and most imptly, they are lasting & comfy! I usually nvr fail to “stop stop see see (& usually end up buying)” their shoes if i’m at Bugis. So yesterday.. it was my 1st stop there… and i spent like near 2 hours there, wif a lifetime membership after purchase! No prize for guessing the no. of shoes i bought :/

Katy, was v patient thru out.. she nvr fail to repeatedly ask “how is it? is the size ok?” She’s always wif a smile, despite de no. of shoes i requested her to check for me.. i couldnt decide between size 35/ 36, and even colours.. nevertheless, she came over to give her opinions & de popular colours etc.

Huge hole in my pocket.. but happy wif de service! Will def return! =)

(2) Annie @ Dano – Bugis
A halter top caught my eye, so i was lured in…. hehe. They had it in black and white.. and i loved both! I have this really bad habit of buying same design, but diff colour tops.. as long as i love de cut, hehe =p

However, they only had size S for black, white was OOS! Annie, was not only friendly, she’s very approachable and needless to say, helpful! She offered to check out other outlets immediately (wifout me asking!) After numerous calls, seems tat only AMK hub had it.. other outlets were OOS as well

AMK’s kinda far & out of de way for me.. since i wouldnt be free this wkend & wont be anywhere near tat area either! Surprisingly, Annie said wif a smile: “Dont worry, i will go there personally to collect for u! You dont have to wait so long.. Sunday u can come to Bugis & collect!”

She mentioned that she lives @ Bishan, so going to AMK was no problem for her.. But still… hmm. She could have jus not bother .. it was more like doing me a favour? *blessed*

(3) Anonymous Guy on Bus 51
On de bus home.. so glad to hav found a seat cos i was carrying lotsa things (esp cos of de shoes bought.. hehe)..

It was quite squeezy tho, so i “rest” de bags on my leg & hug them. Oh ya, partly cos another hand was carrying soupy stuff (dinner for Dad) as well. This guy beside me.. he probably saw me struggling wif difficulty! lol~ He told me to rest my shopping bags on de floor (instead of hugging it) and not to worry if it occupies “his space”… which i embarassedly decline & said “erh its ok”. *hides face*

So.. i got home yesterday, feeling happy & blessed to hav met these 3 angels :) I revamped my cupboard last nite; cleared some “old clothes” & welcomed “new clothes”! Time to do some spring cleaning for de new yr.. Hehe =p

Lookin @ de calendar.. his birthday is in a weeks’ time. How time flies.. :/

Mid-week finally! =p Was on sick leave yesterday. Tummy was terrible, i decided to visit de doctor Weak + no appetite = nua at home.

While resting, received this sms from a new fren i met @ SH: “It was a greatest time; i have been with u in Shanghai. With the follow up meeting last Sunday and a friendly and enjoying dinner, our friendship have strengthen. In our daddygod house, i welcome you home. I look forward to see u this Sunday”.

I felt… truly happy upon receiving the msg. *blessed* We knew each other only for tat few days, but it felt so surreal, it seems like we have been long lost frens! A part of me, misses Shanghai very much! It has brought me lots of laughter, smiles, and definitely fun! Not forgetting the friendships developed overtime.. sth tat $$ cannot buy Everything seemed so vivid.. i wish i could replay!

Weekend will come early for me this week as i took leave on Friday Gonna visit de hair salon, heh. Afterwhich will probably be retail theraphy.. gotta source for Dad’s birthday present, & then to “research” on recommended studios for convocation photos. Anyone has recommendations??

Mum & Dad’s trip has been brought fwd; going from 29 Feb to 5 Mar.. meaning, they will be back in time to attend the graduation ceremony.. keke.. Yeah~ Frens who dun mind attending will be cordially invited too… ya presence will be appreciated.. just text me ya? *smiles* :)

Have a gr8 wkend ahead! I’m in a weekend-mood already… heh =p

Kinda in a sore mood right now, cos parents wont be able to attend the graduation ceremony. They will be away in Korea :/ As its an incentive trip for them i.e. costs are fully paid for, mummy tinks its better for them to go for the trip, plus they havent been to Korea. Daddy on the other hand prefers to go for de ceremony cos its like “once-in-a-lifetime”.

Oh well.. they deserve a good break too. Just feeling so shitty cos the dates clash so coincidentally! The trip is from 5-9 Mar, & the graduation is on 9 Mar! Sigh~ Hopefully, i can find at least 1 friend who is willing to take time out to attend.. if not, kinda pointless for me to go? :/

Demoralised

Had dinner wif Peg last Fri @ Surf & Turf.. my first time there, and will def go back again! The steak is pretty nice.. hehe. Nice chat wif her.. haven seen the whole gang group of them since July.. :/ Miss the chilling out days… now, everyone’s so busy!

& then, she was saying bout her various couple frens who broke off during tat period of time too… it seems like “breakups” happen tgt, and “being attached” comes tgt as well…. =p

Today, found out another couple broke off. Its scary hearing such news (tho its pretty common…) & it upsets me, knowing tat de reason is due to 3rd party involvement…

*sigh*

It can be quite demoralising. I dunno if i’ll have the trust & faith to enter into another r/s again.

Shanghai Memories :)

I’m back! =) Yeap, touched down last nite =) Its been a good trip.. good break i’d, with nice memories

Was at home the whole day, until at nite, i decided to go out for some fresh air. Too much negative energy in me.. Hopefully, 2008 wld be a better & happier year *cross fingers*

Had v little sleep the past few nites.. feeling tired, yet still cant slp, so here am i blogging, heh =p

Travelled 2hrs… to have the so-called famous hairy crabs! & clumsy me fell from the bus Tho i’ve so many layers of clothes, it still hurts! *cries*

Took the cruise despite the cold weather. Yeah… looked horribly FAT with so many layers of clothes =p But the beautiful view was worth it Awesome! Enjoy the pics :)

The result after 6 days of cold weather – dry throat!

Didnt do much shopping for myself. Mainly for my Dad… for his Korea holiday in Feb =p One of de nites, we checked out Shanghai’s disco pub – Broadway. We wen to the one more of oldies… for de adults, hehe =p We were being taught some simple dance moves tuned to Latin, Cha-Cha etc music. A pity they didnt allow photo taking tho

Shanghai’s really beautiful. The lights are spectacular. 6yrs ago, i celebrated the New Year @ Shanghai too. But this yr, the feeling is totally different. The company really makes a difference How did we countdown to 2008?

& yah.. we also played “the-guessing-number” game aka “zhong ji mi ma”.. and i still cant believe i lost like 8 times in a row?? There must be some magic in me, to spot on the number 8 times! muhahahhaha~

Time flies, as always. The jokes, the care, the fun, the laughter…. made this trip truly a memorable one *blessed*
