31 Dec.. the last day of every yr..

In 2 more hours, we will be embarking on another new year.. how will it be like?

2009- a new year full of unknown…

*mixed feelings*

December came and go very quickly.. perhaps cos its a busy month for me (covering my colleague).. im so glad she’s gonna be back to work in Jan09 (i.e. the coming Friday)! ahh… *wait very long already*

With every new year, comes new resolutions. I dont recall posting any resolution for 2008 (and de past few yrs as well, ha). Come 2009, i guess the main focus will be on my health. The rest… shun qi zhi ran bah…

This yr, i clocked the highest number of hospitalization and medical leave. A record made in my 3 years of working life.. not sth im proud of tho.

Will be counting down to the new yr with my fam tonite. House party is better than squeezing with the crowd? i guess its sth to do with age…. *old already* heh.

Grandma has also came over..! *loves*

Xmas 08

Love de lightings! A pity i didnt get to take the ones at Raffles City & Vivo City (despite walking past many times!). :/

I didnt plan to get any stuff from Kate Spade (initially).. but there was a sale you see…. erm, so i ended walking out with 2 big paper bags (oops) ;p

  

the bags were really hugeee…… i kept requesting for a smaller size one, but the size just couldnt fit. had a hard time “lugging” the bags back home. The bags attracted many stares… from pple of all ages! For the first time, a guy gave up his seat to me on the MRT!

.. i did not accept the kind offer.

eh, i did wanted to hide my face tho…. =p The coffeshop aunty even asked me “wah, da jian jia ahh??”

errr………… =/

hmm, but i guess all de “troubles” were worth it after all, seeing the smiles on Mum & Sis! Christmas gifts for them…glad they love it!

i was in fact very close in getting one for myself tooo….. *grin*

  

The wkend before Xmas…. – at U.d.d.e.r.s! So sinful, yet heavenly ice creammmm…~~~~

Due to work commitments, Xmas shopping has been very last minute this yr! It felt so rush that i became frustrated with myself

Grocery shopping for these goodies… got it just one day before Xmas eve! Skipped dinner and started packing the xmas goodie… its actually quite exciting!

  

This is the back portion of the goodie pack…for the colleagues! (gals & guys)

& finally…. the end product with a printed Xmas tree! *satisfied*

  

not forgetting, packet of ciggs for…. my boss, lol.

It was just a small gift, but i guess its the thought that counts, yeah? Perhaps its jus a “tradition” in me to give little gifts to de pple ard me…. and even more fun in distributing presents! ;p

It was nice to receive gifts too, esp from some unexpected ones.

The joy of giving & sharing! Everyone was in a pretty good mood… waiting patiently for time off =)

At nite, dinner was @ Fairmont Hotel (Plaza Market Cafe). Sweet.

the favourite section of many! nice to see, but eat too much = very gelat; so best solution… take pic can liao! lol…

     

so nice, who wld bear to eat? hehe.

  

not forgetting, chocolate fondue as well! nothing new anymore, but i just like the “fountain-look-alike”…. geez.

  

I only realised they had durian pengat (at de last min)! *sob* By then, i was already near full…. i had a tiny little bit tho, hehe.

Overall, the spread was not too bad. The chefs were pretty funny too. Other than the ambience, i guess the place is near perfect. =) I was hoping they wld play some Xmas music/ caroling.

Nevertheless, its de company tat plays a more impt role!

Annual D & D..

Suntec was de only venue that can accomodate the large number of staffs i guess….

There were 2 weddings going on, and another company’s D & D as well… we sorta got lost, no one remembered the level :X

    

Erm… yes, we are under-dressed! Next yr, we will do better! =) That is provided im still here…. ;p

The whole situation was pretty bad…. she screamed. she scold. she beat. and i tink de worst is…. she biteeees. One of de guys’ ears were bitten… and it bleed… *ouch*

All of us were victims. :X

Headed to Marina’s Mac thereafter for a short catch up with the GPs. Coincidentally, they also had their annual D & D on the same day @ Pan Pacific!

The nite ended off…. sweet.

Painful Friday

Today wasnt a peaceful Friday, as i had hoped it wld be.

So many issues to settle at work, and got reprimanded by a super-pissed off customer… (whats new rite?)

Then comes de gastric pain. It has been awhile since i experience this. I thought i wouldnt have to go thru it again……….. =/

my body seem to be in “rejection” mode. wadever i consume, i end up vomiting out. now, dun dare to drink either………

whats de best companion now? my bed, i guess

what a Friday…………… *cries*

wanted to blog bout xmas & de (outdated) D&D… guess i gotta post it another day.. shld catch some rest now, heh.

The 4th qtr game of 2008..

after many rounds of elimination…

the male single finals…. which my boss won!  

he shared with us the winning vouchers! hehe.

we also had…. a special guest!! *grin*

Baby Ernest wanted to have a game of table tennis too… and as usual… he was de apple of de eye… hehe.

  

the guys decided to “bully” Baby Ernest.. they told him to step on the ping pong balls!! The more he step, the more toys Mummy will buy for him!! -.-”"”"

And all de balls will be “QC”.. it must be stepped with certain “standard”. Must be totally flat…. He was so happy stepping all de way!!

     

 The dear ones… see them more often than my own family lo!

.. i used to dread such games.. mainly cos err.. 50% of them i dunno tho under de same Head, we are located at 2 different places. plus, im not good at such games lor…. always throw face only.

and im also guilty for missing out on 2 activities held in the 1st half of de yr

but now, im beginning to like it! its de fun and bonding that matters more..

glad to be part of this Family.. this is the (almost full attendance) SB team….

Quiet Xmas..

This Xmas gonna be a quiet one… Last yr was spent at Shanghai… how fast, its already a yr since!

Counting down to de yr end (desperately) for once. Not bcos of de festive season… but rather, cos my colleague will only be back next yr! Covering her for 1 mth is…. (sadly) quite terrible. i only have 2 hands! *cries*

So busy and tied up tat i have de tendency to “pull my hair”…. literally. :/

My engine is now only at de 50% mark! Every nite so tireeed… perhaps cos of de recent late (party) nites as well…

Xmas shopping has also been reduced very much, as compared to previous yrs.. oh well, with the “recession” and “retrenchment”… bah.

2009… in another 15 more days… counting down, counting down.. :)

“next time when de kids are older, i’ll make it a family rule for de boys to get a present for their mummy every yr on their birthday. In a way, it is to express thanks for all de pain and suffering she had to go thru.. bringing them to this world.”
